Financial Aid

At AUCP, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of financial circumstances. Recognizing the financial challenges that some families may face, we are dedicated to supporting those who wish to be part of our community. AUCP has a longstanding tradition of operating a hardship fund for currently-enrolled families experiencing difficulties, and now, we are excited to expand this initiative into a formal financial aid program. Donate here or contact our Treasurer at aucp.treasurer@gmail.com to make a contribution to AUCP’s Financial Aid Program.

Our financial aid program aims to make private preschool education more accessible, offering need-based assistance to both new and returning families. Eligible applicants can receive support covering up to 50% of tuition costs for core classes. Please note that this excludes the $50 per child application fee, the $120 family registration fee, tuition for enrichment classes, and tuition for Stay & Play. Aid will be granted on a sliding scale, with eligibility extending to families with a household income below 3.5 times the Head Start income limits.

How to Apply

Submit the financial aid application along with your most recent federal tax return (1040) and your 2023 W-2 by February 9, 2024. An admissions application is also required for consideration. You can submit financial aid applications via email to aucp.treasurer@gmail.com or by mailing/dropping them off at AUCP, c/o Treasurer, 4444 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22204. If you choose to mail or drop off your financial aid application in person, you are welcome to enclose your completed admissions application as well. Remember that we must receive both your financial aid application and your admissions application by February 9, 2024 to be considered for financial aid.

All information provided during the financial aid process is held in the strictest confidence and will only be reviewed by members of the financial aid committee. AUCP upholds a commitment to non-discrimination, ensuring that financial aid decisions are made without regard to race, color, ability, ethnic origin, gender, or creed.

If selected to receive financial aid, you will receive an adjusted payment plan and invoice for the modified tuition deposit. Your deposit for the 2024-25 school year includes the $120 one-time, non-refundable family registration fee and adjusted May 2025 tuition for the classes noted on your admissions application. Deposits are due within seven days of receiving the invoice. If you encounter any challenges, please reach out to aucp.treasurer@gmail.com or call the office at 703-892-3878.
